Recipe Steps

Grate 1 English cucumber on large holes of box grater.

Squeeze and drain grated cucumber in a colander.

Make tzatziki sauce: Mix cucumber, ½ cup Greek yogurt, 1 tsp kosher salt, ½ tsp ground black pepper, 1 Tbsp lemon juice, and 1 Tbsp olive oil. Set aside.

Add 1 lb ground turkey, ½ tsp kosher salt, ½ tsp ground black pepper, 1 tsp dried oregano, ½ tsp onion powder, and ½ cup feta cheese to large bowl.

Mix with hands until combined.

Evenly divide meat into 4 balls.

Pat each ball into a ½-inch thick patty.

Heat skillet over medium heat. Add patties and cook 5-6 minutes. Flip, then cook until firm to the touch, 4-5 minutes more.

Build burger on bun with tzatziki, sliced tomatoes, red onion, and lettuce.

Recipe Notes

  • You can prep the patties and make the tzatziki ahead of time (or… just buy the sauce!). This meal will come together in a flash.

  • To grill, preheat your grill over medium flame. Oil the grates well. Cook patties 7-10 minutes or until 165 degrees, flipping halfway through. Bonus - toast the buns!

  • The Olympics are here, so we’re using this meal as a conversation starter. The games began in Greece over 2700 years ago. How does your family feel about this worldwide event? What sports do you like? Why are these games meaningful?
